ABOUT VERDICK® GUITARS

Walter Verdick’s guitar making process is unique and unlike the typical workflow of the common luthier.
Verdick is a master carpenter, cabinet maker and high end home builder/designer in New York and

Martha's Vineyard, with lifelong studies in architecture and design. He also has had a long running career

as a sculptor in crystal clear acrylics in its massive form, having exhibited for years in the Front Windows

of Tiffany & Co. and the Nelson Rockefeller Empire Collection NYC to mention a few.

Verdick has been playing guitar and song writing for the past 60 years. As a guitar player since the age
of 12 years old and having built a number of electric guitars with his finely tuned wood working/furniture
making skills, and knowledge of the CNC, electric guitar making has been a true passion.

The in-depth procedure consists of many steps, including CNC (Computerized Numerical Control)
operations for the shaping and forming of the electric guitar bodies that originally were all cut out by
hand. The rest of the building is still hand made by Verdick himself in his shop.
The components are all top quality and hand selected to ensure the absolute best playability possible.

The Outcaster®  started as a playable sculpture. Verdick wanted an electric guitar with basic classic, yet
contemporary design that was easy to relate to and very light in weight. After brainstorming some ideas

with a top guitar tech friend to ensure sensibilities, Verdick started drawing, carving and sanding. Then the

exhaustive process of applying the hand rubbed finish for a subtle striated piano-like aging patina/finish.

Bolted up the neck, tweaked it and The Outcaster® was born. Added great hardware and some well

known high end pickups and electronics by Lollar that the Great Arlen Roth specified and WOW.

“The Guitar Of The Future” Arlen tagged it. The hidden bonus from the cutouts become immediately

apparent the minute you start to feel it and play it.

There is brilliant timbre and sustain, then plug it in, a unique but classic voicing all its own that made

Verdick realize heavier doesn't mean better at all! Verdick calls it a “Chameleon” as it takes on so

many character sounds.

Through years of experience, design and testing, you are guaranteed a

phenomenal playing experience with this fully Patented and Trademarked instrument.
